Guadalajara Jalisco.- Male Band He has filed a legal suit (which is expected to be a millionaire) against José Juan Guardado, who for years was part of the musical group and who after leaving it chose to usurp his style and even use his name to appear in concerts of Mexico.
In an exclusive interview with EL DEBATE, Arturo Ávila Trujillo, musician and representative of the original group of Villa Corona, JaliscoHe explained that with this trial there are already three of the 12 who have filed against José Juan Guardado and his Banda Mach.
As reported by Ávila Trujillo, the problem began five years ago, when Banda Machos tried to enter the United States to meet a show they had already agreed upon. Wanting to cross the border and go through an inspection of customs, some doses of marijuana were found in the bed that belonged to José Juan Guardado, so that he was immediately prevented from entering the American Union.
The labor relationship began to become complicated for the then member of the band, unable to meet about 70% of the presentations that Banda Machos had, which were in the United States.
The representative of Banda Machos says that finally José Juan Guardado chose to leave the group a year later, so he was given his settlement, which was composed of a large sum of money, equipment and a truck.
With these same resources it is believed that the former bassist formed his new band, which initially came to usurp the name of Banda Machos in various presentations of the Republic and later called himself Banda Mach.
Among the demands that Banda Machos has filed against José Juan Guardado stand out for copying their clothes (raincoats), making use of the logo, playing the songs (with arrangements) owned by Banda Machos, among others.
Although Banda Mach was a group of recent formation, Ávila Trujillo confesses that they did take a lot of work from Banda Machos in Mexico.
“If we charged 10 pesos they charged 3, 4 or 5 at most, then many businessmen went with them to save money. Besides, they simulated the scream of Banda Machos very well and people grew up that it was us. That’s why we put these judgments. “
Although the current representative, saxophonist and one of the 7 owners of Banda Machos, did not want to make known the amount of money that they will now have to be given as compensation for damages, he stressed that “they are very strong amounts! The truth ( of compensation), because they did take away a lot of work in Mexico. “
“Already the name (of Banda Mach) is canceled, it is going to have to change and if he incurs to use it again until the jail it can go to stop because he no longer has to use it”, emphasized Ávila Trujillo.

Special celebration for 30 years of career
On more entertaining topics, Arturo Ávila Trujillo said that currently Banda Machos is preparing for his thirty years of artistic career, which will be celebrated on July 8.
For this, they already plan to rewrite the best hits they have given their audience through their 29 albums, but this time they will have the company of great singers from other musical genres such as rock, pop and others.
They also plan to perform two great concerts, one in the city of Los Angeles, in the United States, and another Mexico, however they still do not decide if this will be in the city of Guadalajara or in their homeland, Villa Corona, Jalisco.
