The Sinaloan line-up of Armando Dueñas, Banda Coloso, climbs steadily in the Mexican region, a few days ago on digital platforms published an EP in collaboration with Saúl “El Jaguar” called “De parranda con la banda”, recorded live from Tijuana where Topics such as: “Lifestyle”, “El Katch”, “El Seven”, “The life of the artist” and the medley with songs like “Who gave you permission”, “The Moon” and “Incorrect number” emerge.
In an interview with THE REPORTER, Alejandro Pineda and Manuel Marmolejo, vocalists of the band, talk more in detail about this project and the new songs that are coming up in collaboration with other artists.
“This collaboration was recorded about six months ago. Saúl approached the band to see if we could accompany him and do these duets and thank God the people have responded very well ”, shares Manuel, who points out that this project with him means a great honor. “He is an artist of impressive stature who has been sweeping his successes for many years and for us it is an honor.”
Alejandro also remembers that they recorded a cumbia with Saúl on the seashore called “Mala copa”, which is unpublished.
“When we recorded (the material) the pandemic was just beginning, therefore other videos that we made were also retained and now we are gradually releasing everything we recorded before the pandemic and also after it, because we continue working.” The videos that were recorded regarding this live material “De partranda con la banda”, can be seen on the official channel of the record label LDV Media Group.
Banda Coloso began its trajectory five years ago, the vocalists recall that it was at a gathering of the owner of the group, Armando Dueñas. It was in the city of Mazatlán where the dream originated, then the project also took shape in Tijuana. “The intention of Banda Coloso, is like any group or project, to go as far as possible, to reach the ears of many people and we are working little by little, we are taking good steps and we are recording many songs like corridos and cumbias ”, Alejandro shares.
They are also reverting songs like “La lack” which is ska, or “Up down” and “Rodeo Clown” by Caballo Dorado, “what we are looking for is something very versatile for all the people who are following us”, they explain.
The members of Banda Coloso anticipate that they come songs with: Los Tiranos del Norte, Los Dinámicos del Norte, Chayo de La Lola, as well as participations with groups from Tijuana. They appreciate the good acceptance they have from the public.
