The Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires presented a line of loans of up to 150,000 pesos, with a term of 36 months and a fixed rate of 60%, for workers in private homes.
The line will be available during the month of August in the branches of the Buenos Aires public bank.
The loan can be paid in 36 installments of 9,065 pesos, with a fixed annual rate of 60% and to access it, it is necessary to be a worker registered with the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) and have a National Identity Document ( ID).
The president of Banco Provincia, Juan Cuattromo, led the presentation of the line at the Leonardo Fabio Audiovisual Production Center in the town of Bernal, together with the mayor of Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza, the national senator for the province of Buenos Aires, Juliana Di Tullio, the Buenos Aires labor minister, Walter Correa, and the director of Banco Provincia, Laura González.
“We wanted to offer a line of credit specially designed for workers in private homes, because we know that the formal financial system turns its back on them and that has a lot to do with what the task is like and what labor relations are like in that area” Cuattromo highlighted.
He stressed that “this means bringing the Bank closer to the people of the province of Buenos Aires, understanding their needs and also transforming it.”
«For the Bank it is a great challenge, since they will be able to request the credit only with the document and all the rest of the work we will do internally. The line is up to 150,000 pesos, in 36 months, and the final installment is 9,000 pesos at a fixed rate. In other words, they will pay that amount throughout the life of the credit. Believe me, it is the cheapest fee in the entire financial system”, he stated.
