Jakarta –
Chairman of the PDIP Megawati Sukarnoputri was in the spotlight because of the statement about mothers liking study. Baitul Muslimin Indonesia (Bamusi) PDIP said that there were parties who cut off the video so that it seemed negative.
“In fact, if we listen to the 5th President’s lecture in full, we will gain a complete understanding of the importance of preparing physically and mentally healthy children for the future of the nation,” said Chairman of PP Baitul Muslimin Indonesia, Faozan Anwar, in his statement, Friday (24/2/2023).
Faozan, who was also present at the discussion when Megawati made her statement, said that what Megawati said was in line with the Qur’an. He called the statement in line with QS. An Nisa : 9.
“This is in line with the teachings of the Qur’an which prohibits humanity from leaving weak generations (QS. An Nisa: 9),” he said.
Furthermore, Faozan assessed that Megawati actually intended to ask her staff to work concretely to prepare healthy children. He did not see Megawati deliberately forbidding mothers from attending recitations, instead inviting mothers to care more about their children.
“Ms. Megawati in no way forbade mothers from taking part in recitations because she herself also participated, but asked mothers to be more concerned about their children not to suffer from stunting. Because mothers are the pillars of the country. If the pillars are destroyed, the country will be destroyed,” said Faozan Amar
“Participating in recitation is important, but preparing and educating children to become a healthy, intelligent and quality generation is far more important, because in their hands is the future of the nation and state,” continued Faozan.
Megawati’s statement
Previously, Megawati Sukarnoputri made a scene because he questioned why mothers like to attend recitations. PDIP also believes that Megawati’s statement is twisted.
Megawati’s statement about women reciting the Koran was conveyed during the event ‘Kick Off Pancasila in the Action of the Universal Movement Plans to Prevent Stunting’ some time ago. At that time, Megawati thought why women liked to attend the recitation.
In her statement, Megawati emphasized that she did not forbid women from attending the recitation. Megawati’s statement was then widely discussed on social media.
“I saw the women, yes, I’m sorry, right now it seems like the culture, thousands of apologies, don’t be bullied later, why are you so happy to take part in recitations? How long will it be, yo? Arep’s children are taken (what do they want their children to do)? Yes, right? It’s OK, it doesn’t mean it’s not allowed, it’s OK, I’ve had recitations,” said Megawati.
