Bamboo Airways appoints a new General Director to replace Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan

Bamboo Airways has just approved the Resolution to appoint Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai to the position of General Director from May 24, 2023, after approving the resignation of Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai holds a bachelor’s degree from National Economics University, majoring in Tourism Business Management. Along with that, Mr. Hai is a senior in political theory from the Academy of Politics – Administration Region I.

Before the Bamboo Airways Board of Directors appointed Mr. Hai, Bamboo Airways received an application from his predecessor, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan, to submit his resignation from the position of General Director to the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan has held the position of General Director of Bamboo Airways since July 2022. Previously, he held the position of Deputy General Director from July 2020, Permanent Deputy General Director from September 2020.

Under the leadership of Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan, Bamboo Airways overcomes difficulties from the Covid-19 epidemic, Bamboo Airways has set historic high revenue milestones in the second half of 2022 thanks to its innovative business and operation plan. . By the end of the first quarter of 2023, the airline’s fleet capacity reached close to 100%.

Previously, Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Bamboo Airways; code: BAV) successfully held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, shareholders approved the private issue of shares to increase charter capital.

According to the leader of Bamboo Airways, this plan aims to effectively restructure loans and supplement business capital for the company in core and ancillary businesses.

Bamboo Airways will issue an additional 1,150 million individual shares, with par value of 10,000 VND/share, corresponding to the value earned after issuing shares is 11,500 billion VND. Thus, after the successful issuance, the charter capital of Bamboo Airways will reach VND 30,000 billion.
