Jakarta –
Chairman of Bappilu PDIP Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul spoke indications of the relationship between the General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Joko Widodo kept away. According to him, the indication did not happen recently, but for a long time.
This was conveyed by Bambang Pacul in response to a question whether Jokowi and Megawati’s relationship was strained. This follows the moment when Jokowi was giving support codes for 2024 at the Projo volunteer event.
“This is an indication, I’m not saying this fact. There is a strong indication that the relationship between Mr. Jokowi and Mrs. wants to be kept away, it has been happening for a long time, this is a repetition, this is replay again,” Bambang told reporters at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (31/5/2022).
Bambang revealed Megawati’s statement which emphasized in front of cadres that Jokowi was born from the PDIP. However, he did not mention in detail what Megawati’s emphasis was.
“I’ll give you a leak of the words of the general chairman, this is what I’m talking about among cadres. Pak Jokowi was born by the PDI-P, from the womb of the PDI-P, and was raised by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, the general chairman. That’s what my mother said,” he said.
Bambang said Jokowi’s attitude was to respect Megawati. According to him, Jokowi even considers Megawati an old man. Therefore, he is sure that Jokowi will not collide with Megawati.
“Pak Jokowi himself once said to me, ‘I and my mother are the same as children and parents’. This must be understood because Pak Jokowi is a Solo person, Bambang Pacul is also a Solo person, Solo City is a city of culture, because in a city as small as Solo City there are only five sub-districts, there are two kingdoms,” he said.
“Mr. Jokowi must know, it’s impossible, I 100 percent guarantee that Mr. Jokowi will never collide with the General Chairwoman,” continued Bambang.
Furthermore, he did not want Jokowi’s statement at the Projo event to become a polemic and lead to other speculations. “So, forget about your questions about volunteers and so on. I’ll meet Mr. Jokowi and I’ll meet you later,” said Bambang.
