The Baltic States are ready to permanently separate themselves from the Russian electricity transmission system. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaia Kalas, EuObserver reported.

This is expected to happen within two years. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have taken this decision.

They depend on Russia for energy. The EU allocated funds to improve their sources.

This is expected to make them ready for complete separation from Russian sources. Lithuania insisted that this should be done as early as next year.

However, Estonia insists on a different deadline. We are working to meet the deadline.

There is a dialogue with the European countries.
