The “Ballon d’Or” was known as “Europe’s Footballer of the Year” until 2006 and was awarded for the first time in 1956. These players are nominated for the Golden Ball
Toni Kroos has been nominated for a Golden Ball after retiring as a professional footballer. The ex-national player is also on the nomination list for the Ballon d’Or, as is his former Real Madrid teammate Antonio Rüdiger. Ballon d’Or Favorites: Who has the best chances?
