HOW VOTING WORKS
From this year the calendar year is no longer considered, but the sporting seasona (in this case 2021-2022). The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will affect the awarding of the next Ballon d’Or, the one awarded in 2023. Vote for a jury of journalists selected by France Football (for Italy Paolo Condò), called to choose 5 names with scores in descending order:
- 5 points at the first name of the personal ranking of each elector
- 4 points to the middle name
- 3 points at the third
- 2 points to the fourth
- 1 point to the fifth
