Ballet school will present free Nutcracker gala in Chillán – La Discusión

As has been the trend in recent weeks, various ballet schools in the city of Chillán present their traditional galas in the month of December, given that it is the time of year when the students present to the public everything they learned during rehearsals.

But for this Tuesday, December 19, it will be the turn of the Lilian Munita Academy, who will present an adaptation of the traditional Nutcracker ballet. There will be around 35 dancers, of all ages, who will perform at 8:00 p.m. at the Santa María de Chillán Institute.

On this occasion, the pre-ballet, children’s, youth and adult dance levels will be presented, who will glimpse the audience attending this important gala.

Javiera Carrasco Munita, daughter of the director of the academy, also indicated that admission is completely free and invited the community to be part of this presentation.

“We present the annual gala and this time it will be the Nutcracker ballet, also thinking about what Christmas Eve is like. There will be 35 dancers from ages 4 to 50, and on this occasion parents will also join,” she said.

In addition, he commented that “access is via Carrera Street where it will lead directly to the place where the stage will be set up. We thank the institute for giving us the opportunity to provide us with the space to hold our gala and we invite all people who want to join to join us.”

The staging will show the story of Clara, played by student Ignacia Hernández, who, through the gift of a nutcracker given to them by her parents, embarks on a journey full of magic and countless surprises.
