Ballet is at least as much a sport as a culture. Could it then be anything other than zero tolerance for strong drugs?

On Sunday, Ingrid Lorentzen told about a warning case that has revealed the use of illegal drugs among ballet dancers in her spare time. This has led to “changes” in the organization, but she will not say which ones.

The head of the National Ballet, Ingrid Lorentzen, says as little as possible about the drug case among the dancers. She should say more.

The ballet’s management confirms that several of the National Ballet’s dancers have used illegal drugs. Judging by the reactions, there is probably something stronger than hashish or marijuana, but it has not been confirmed.

There may be several aspects to the picture. Party participants may have done or said something when the drug use was reprimanded, which made the whistleblower – or the management – feel that it had to be hit hard. Easy to imagine, but a speculation. Also, it is not entirely clear where and when the drug use took place.
