Ballesta: “We have already detected the social crisis in the municipality of Murcia” | Radio Murcia

DSDE that last April 27 that the new processing system was launched –“An exceptional procedure, which speeds up and shortens waiting times to a minimum, with the aim of guaranteeing care for the most vulnerable people in the municipality,” José Ballesta reported. they process an average of 110 aid a day, which represents an increase of 300% compared to the usual procedure.

The aid ranges between 430 euros for single-parent families and 1,071 for households with several members. These direct grants are complemented by the assistance network of municipal aid and benefits aimed at vulnerable groups (home meal service, telecare, home help, etc.).

“Our priority objective is to guarantee the coverage of basic social needs to the entire population of the municipality, with special attention to the most vulnerable sectors and groups, during the persistence of the social crisis derived from the pandemic, promoting coordination with other administrations and the third sector ”, indicated the mayor.

The Social Services Area of ​​the Murcia City Council estimates that some 6,000 Murcian families will benefit, which will mean an estimated amount of 3 million euros in direct aid.

Ballesta has pointed out that all urban furniture and playgrounds are now also disinfected, which although they cannot be used, are being prepared for when possible.
