The Russian vaccine developed against the new coronavirus – Sputnik V – is 95 percent effective, according to a second interim analysis of clinical trial data.
The Russian Ministry of Health reports that the results were obtained from volunteers 42 days after the injection of the first dose. The effectiveness after 28 days is 91.4%.
The vaccine, developed by the National Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Gamaleya, in Moscow, is expected to be around eight euros per dose.
