Last weekend the DJK, the tennis club and the Bösel sports club celebrated an atmospheric “Ball of Sports” in the Bley hall in Bösel. The motto: “Fight separately – celebrate together”. The members of the three Bösel clubs celebrated their sporting successes until the early hours of the morning. The highlights of the evening were the awards.
The “Footballer of the Year” was chosen at SV Bösel and the “DJKler of the Year” at the DJK. For the kickers, this honor was given to Eugen Baal. “He is the goalkeeping coach of the first men’s soccer team, looked after the kickers of the F youth, is himself a goalkeeper between the posts for the second team and has been a member of the club since 1995,” said the second chairman of SV Bösel, Peter Wendeln, in his laudatory speech. “I’m really happy about the award and I’m surprised,” said the 37-year-old technical operations manager Baal.
Melanie Ulmer was also surprised by her award. “How wonderful are people who just do things without caring what they get out of it. That applies to Melanie,” said DJK chairman Johannes Kleymann about the DJ of the year. The 43-year-old from Ulm has been active in the club for 33 years.
Her sporting activities began with gymnastics and athletics. “When she was young, the sports assistant was a support for the trainers and was actively involved in jazz dance. “But the water is one of our favorite elements, and she has been the instructor here for a long time,” says Kleymann. It would be impossible to imagine the swimming department without her. “I am very happy about the award. “That’s wonderful,” says Melanie Ulmer.
