Baleno Crossover Version Launches, Named Suzuki Fronx

Jakarta

Not only introducing the 5-door Jimny, Suzuki India also released a new Baleno model called Fronx. If the Baleno carries a hatchback style, then the Suzuki Fronx has a more manly appearance in the style of a crossover car.

For example, on the front, the grille design is similar to the All New Grand Vitara that was released earlier. The sporty black grille is ‘split’ with a chrome list which gives an elegant impression. In the center is pinned a large Suzuki logo. The fog lights are equipped with three light points.

The crossover impression in this car is also present through the black over fender design which is pinned on the front, connecting from the front bumper, side skirts, to the rear over fender. It can be seen that the roof has also been pinned with roof rails.

The Suzuki Fronx cabin carries a dual-tone theme, an infotainment system and an instrument cluster similar to the Baleno. Its features include a wireless car charger, the SmartPlay infotainment system with a 9.0-inch floating screen, as well as additional connectivity options such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

This car is offered with two engine options, the 1.0-liter Boosterjet and the 1.2-liter K-Series. The 1.0 liter Boosterjet is a turbo petrol engine, which can produce a maximum power of 100.06 PS at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 147.6 Nm.

Meanwhile, the 1.2 liter naturally-aspirated K-Series engine produces a maximum power of 89.73 PS and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Suzuki offers a choice of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Suzuki Fronx also has an automatic climate control feature, as well as safety features in the form of six airbags. Most of the features of the Suzuki Fronx are similar to those of the Baleno hatchback model.
