Gareth Bale was rumored to want to return to Tottenham Hotspur this summer. How did the staff of The Lilywhites respond?
Just like last summer, Bale is now again rumored to want to leave Real Madrid. Apart from Manchester United, the Welshman has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.
Hotspur, who recently enlivened the news about Bale’s potential transfer. The London club reportedly wants to repatriate his former player this summer.
Jonathan Barnett’s agent said that currently talks of Bale’s transfer from Madrid to Tottenham are ongoing. Suddenly it became an interesting issue this summer.
“Gareth still loves the Spurs. We’re talking. It’s the place he wants to be,” Barnett told BBC Sport Wales.
Barnett also explained how big the chance for Bale to return to England. “It’s almost, not finished. It’s a complicated deal,” he explained.
Bale himself is a former Tottenham player. He defended the London camp in 2007-2013, with a record of 55 goals in 203 appearances.
Responding to rumors of the transfer of Bale, the Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier judging that his colleagues were still acting normal. He even said that the player’s conversation group was not excited.
“No, there is nothing in the WhatsApp group. I’m sure from the point of view of the fans, it’s great to be connected with players of that level ..” Dier said as quoted by the London Football.
“It doesn’t affect me personally. This is not the first time a player has been linked with going here or there,” he explained.
