The first time Baldwin pulled the gun out of the holster, something happened according to the Los Angels Times nothing yet. When he repeated that move, he fired an unknown number of bullets. In doing so, he killed Halyna Hutchins, camera operator and director of photography, and injured director Joel Souza. He has since been released from hospital.
There had already been incidents involving firearms on the same film set last weekend, anonymous sources told the LA Times. The actor who does the stunts for Baldwin also accidentally fired two bullets on Saturday, the sources say. He had also been told that the weapon was ‘cold’.
“There should have been an investigation into what happened,” says a member of the film crew. “It could not be ruled out that it would happen again. But they just wanted us to continue working”, the person refers to the production people.
Three previous incidents
Such accidental shooting incidents would have happened at least three times already. At least, that’s what an employee wrote to the production team in a message that the newspaper has seen. Baldwin is not only one of the protagonists, but also a producer of the film.
