The official release date for Baldur’s Gate III is just around the corner, but players on PC have been able to access an early version of the game for a while now. Now, developers at Larian Studios are reminding players that their Early Access progress will be wiped when the game launches.
Basically, starting early access right now doesn’t make a lot of sense because no matter what you’ve accomplished, your progress will be gone when the game actually launches.“We advise players not to purchase the Early Access version of Baldur’s Gate 3 in order to play this content, partly because it’s outdated, but mostly because we’re so close to launch,”larian incommunity updatesaid in.
“Essentially, the games are so different that it’s impossible to make these save files compatible. This might be a bit of a disappointment for those who invested hours in the early access version of the game, but as Larian said, the finished product is so different we’ll be blown away at launch anyway.
