Baldur’s Gate III » Vortex boxed version confirmed

Following the announcement of the award nominations at The Game Awards, developers Larian Studio announced that they will soon announce the release of the anticipated Xbox Series version of the game, hinting that they will also have news for those hoping for boxed versions. The wait wasn’t long and all the questions have already been resolved – the release date of the Xbox version will be unveiled at The Game Awards with a new trailer, and players will see the physical versions in the first quarter of next year. It is the second message that is quite full of information and it can be seen that the developers were obviously waiting for the game to be on all platforms and they could solve the matter at once.

Larian will offer a Deluxe Edition that will be available for 80 euros regardless of platform – PC, PS5, Xbox Series. It is pleasant, however, that although the price is not too high in the context of the mentioned edition, the developers did not skimp on the bonuses and you can look forward to some quite interesting “goodies”. The package will include the game, a world map, a soundtrack on three CDs, a Mind Flayer poster, 32 stickers and 2 patches. Digital bonuses will also be included, such as a new cube skin, new tracks, a digital artbook or character cards for playing D&D.

The developers also confirmed that the box in which all the contents will be located will have the parameters of the collectors’ favorite big-boxes, and the design should be aligned with how the big boxes of the previous two parts of the series looked. At this time, Baldur’s Gate III can only be ordered in physical form directly from studio website and the question is whether anything will change in terms of distribution. But whatever it turns out to be in the finale, the wishes of many players have been heard, and if the digital-only release was a problem for you too, postpone Christmas by a few weeks.
