Released on August 3, Baldur’s Gate III, a few days after the release, gathered simultaneously over 800 thousand players in Steam, which was an unexpected result for developers. However, this weekend was delivered new record.
On the evening of August 13 in the game was more than 875 thousand Steam users at the same time – as it turned out, they spend almost a third of the total game time in Baldur’s Gate 3. Among single games in 2023, Hogwarts Legacy boasts a similar result – its online peak exceeded 879 thousand people.
The total number of Baldur’s Gate III players should be higher as the game is also available on the GOG platform. And on September 6, the release will take place on the PlayStation 5, where RPG has become one of the most pre-ordered games. Alas, it’s not worth waiting for an Xbox Series release before 2024.
