Baldur’s Gate III Set to Release on Xbox This Year, Exact Date Still Unknown

Last week Running announced that the release of Baldur’s Gate III on the Xbox will take place this year, but the exact date is still unknown. IN talking to IGN Studio head Sven Vincke noted that the Xbox version of Baldur’s Gate 3 should be expected sometime between September and November.

For now, Larian is prioritizing the PS5 version, which already has a confirmed release date of September 6th, and new patches for the PC version.

Vincke confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox is already in good shape. The developers still have a lot of work to do, but in terms of content and technical side, they are already pretty close to the finish line. In addition, before the release of the Xbox version, standard testing and certification awaits.

Gava Larian also stressed that the team wants to achieve 60 FPS on all platforms. At the same time, the developers acknowledge the problems with optimization on the PC and do not exclude the possibility of lowering the minimum system requirements in the future – so that Baldur’s Gate 3 is available to as many players as possible.

Baldurs Gate 3 is available on PC and has already received its first major patch. The release of the second patch is “just around the corner”, and it should restore some “cut content”.
