Baldur’s Gate III Developers Reflect on First Patch and Tease Exciting Updates in the Works

The developers of Baldur’s Gate III recalled the release of the first patch and the imminent release of the next update. In addition, Larian Studio told about the content of future updates.

The authors acknowledged that there are optimization problems in the third act. And the second patch will have to fix it. In addition, he must get rid of several unpleasant bugs that spoil the passage for gamers.

The developers have discovered an issue due to which Mintara is missing some reactions. This was promised to be fixed in the future. Moreover, the authors discussed the cut content. According to them, these are just those materials that they were afraid to add to the game.

This also applies to epilogues – the authors were worried that they would be too long and would only distract gamers from the epic nature of what was happening. However, the backlash made it clear that players want more content in the finale. Therefore, the developers will expand the epilogues.

The developers noted that they “cut out” the content not in order to speed up the creation process. They just wanted to give the best gaming experience. And although the game was received well, the creators are not going to stop there. Therefore, they will improve Baldur’s Gate 3 further.

Larian promised:

continue fixing bugs; add a function to remove cooperative players so that you can continue to play solo; keep improving the game because the developers love it and it means a lot to them; add a function for a radical change in the appearance of the main character;

At the same time, the authors expect that the possibilities for modding will soon expand.
