As problems with Baldur’s Gate 3 saves on Xbox Series X/S continue, the official Xbox on X support channel has told users not to directly unplug their consoles.
This week, Baldur’s Gate 3 players on Xbox complained of crashes that could delete some save files. The developer of Larian released a hotfix that should have completely solved the problem, but some bugs persisted.
Now Xbox has shared its advice. In the tweet below the manufacturer politely asks for an account Players do not have to unplug their Xbox directly, but instead log out of Baldur’s Gate 3 as usual and turn off the console through the interface.
It’s not very clear who turns off their console in this way, but apparently there are such “geniuses” among us. This is absolutely chaotic behavior, and it says a lot that the company even has to be reminded about it.
It’s not entirely clear whether this is actually due to loss of save files due to crashes – something Larian tried to fix earlier this week. Either way, it’s still an issue worth keeping in mind, even if you don’t turn off your console in the craziest way possible.
