Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch: New Features and Bug Fixes – Game News October 6, 2023

Another patch has been released for Baldur’s Gate 3, which not only eliminates numerous glitches, but also introduces several new features. One of them concerns the possibility of changing the appearance of our mercenaries.

Despite the fantastic reception of Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios does not rest on its laurels and continues to improve various aspects of its flagship production. The latest hotfix (no. 9) for the hit RPG is proof of the extraordinary commitment of the creators.

From the announcement published by the Belgian studio on Steam, we learn that the creators have finally addressed the issue of changing the appearance of our mercenaries. From now on, we will be able to personalize them using the magic mirror. In addition to their appearance, their names can also be edited.

At the same time, the creators emphasize that there are restrictions such as those in the case of changes to the main characters. In other words, it will not be possible to select a different race, gender or origin of the character.

Not just personalization

In addition to the functionality of modifying our mercenaries, the new patch also fixes a number of bugs. Here are some of them:

Fixed a GPU hang on PS5 with the Vulkan API; Fixed a bug with Split Screen mode on PS5 that could cause a black screen when listening to dialogue; Fixed selected items and character animations not working correctly when skipping a line in certain dialogues; Fixed display characters in underwear in some intimate scenes, even if nudity is enabled; fixed preview not working properly in accessibility options.
