Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 5 Gives New Life to an Unknown Character

It was previously discussed how gigantic patch 5 is for Baldur’s Gate 3, and what new players found in the new update released recently for the already gigantic role-playing game from Larian. This is the biggest update in the history of Baldur’s Gate 3: a new ending, new game modes and many other changes and innovations.

Fans are busy exploring the new version of the game and, quite predictably, are discovering details that have not yet been announced. Among them is the fact that Larian introduced an unknown character into Baldur’s Gate 3: an imp named Bing Bong. If this funny name doesn’t mean anything to you, that’s okay, because it didn’t appear in any official documents for Baldur’s Gate 3, but Larian decided to introduce it into its narrative.

The imp appeared in a scene shown in the Dungeons & Dragons special, which the cast played on the High Rollers YouTube channel. The very short two-part adventure allowed Jennifer English (Shadowheart) and Devorah Wilde (Laezel) to stage a hilarious scene in which an imp, after being turned around at a party as a pet of sorts, ended badly by being used as an unnecessary weapon.

The event remained in the hearts of fans, and the cast themselves had fun creating memes and phrases in the weeks that followed, but the D&D game was in no way canonical to the events of the Larian narrative. And yet, as some users discovered on Reddit, the developers decided to pay tribute to this episode in a recently discovered dialogue.

During one of the conversations with Shadowheart, which can be obtained in the new ending, which takes place six months after the end of the adventure, the half-elf talks about some of the adventures that she experienced during this time, simultaneously mentioning the imp Bing Bong.

A very funny gesture from Larian, which shows how much he cares about the community and everything that has been created since the release of Baldur’s Gate 3.
