PC Gamer Editions Editorial formed its annual ranking of the best PC games. In 2023, the portal staff used an updated formula for this, in which they took into account not only their subjective impressions, but also the importance and relevance of the nominated games. PC Gamer emphasized that they conducted the vote in July, so Baldur’s Gate 3 has not yet made it into the rating. The first place in the ranking of the best PC games from PC Gamer in 2023 was taken by Disco Elysium with a rating of 271.71 points. The Witcher 3 is in second position with 264.8 points, and the top three is closed by Crusader Kings 3 with 260 points. Dwarf Fortress took fourth place with 259.2 points, and Half-Life 2 came in fifth with 256.8 points.
The top ten was completed by Street Fighter 6 – 250.6 points, Red Dead Redemption 2 – 249.9 points, CS:GO – 249.2 points, Divinity: Original Sin 2 – 249.1 points and XCOM 2 – 248.9 points.
