Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to reveal itself in unexpected ways. Even in the epilogue the player can die
It turned out that death in the world of Baldur’s Gate 3 awaits the heroes even in the epilogue. Familiarity with the fate of the characters for particularly “lucky” players can result in death.
Circumstances so happened that Boomsta22 during the transition to the epilogue of Baldur’s Gate 3 (happens six months later), for some reason it retained all those effects that had accumulated at the time of the game’s finale. This has created huge problems – one of the effects is now fatal.
The fact is that Boomsta22 created Protective bonds with Gale: when a character takes damage, the caster of the spell also takes it. It so happened that Gale caught fire and for six months it never went out. It healed automatically and outlived the player. Boomsta22 is stuck in a death cycle and can’t get rid of these effects in the epilogue.
After the incident, an unlucky player in Baldur’s Gate 3 learned that Larian did not provide an achievement for such an event, this causes outrage. Some community members would like to see a special achievement.
