More players are downloading Baldur’s Gate 3 and joining the big party. The game is surprisingly popular and has officially become the second biggest release on Steam in 2023.
Over 641,000 players already play Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam and the number continues to grow. This is a huge success for Larian Studios, which has been offering great games for many years, but no release has ever received such attention. In 2023, only Hogwarts Legacy achieved more, with 879,308 fans of the J.K. universe playing at a key moment. Rowling.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently officially the 10th most popular adventure on the Valve platform – an RPG can’t even dream of a result close to PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (3,257,248), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (1,818,773 ) and Lost Ark (1 325 305), but still managed to show a better result than, for example, Apex Legends (624 473) and now Goose Goose Duck (702 845) is next in line.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a massive open world RPG from the creators of the Divinity: Original Sin series. The game was released on PC on August 3 and turned out to be a big hit – players around the world praise it and the developers. The PlayStation 5 version, meanwhile, has been slightly delayed until September 6, while the Xbox Series X and S versions remain without a release date (more on Baldur’s Gate 3’s Xbox delay here).
In an interview, Vincke said that the developers believe that a typical Baldur’s Gate 3 playthrough takes between 75 and 100 hours. However, players who want to “do it all” should look forward to doubling that number.
