A new achievement in the online popularity of the Baldur’s Gate 3 role-playing game has been established, which has attracted the attention of a large number of players, and has also become compatible with the Steam Deck platform.
The peak number of concurrent players reached an impressive 712,000 over the weekend. The Baldur’s Gate 3 client currently has over 707,000 players, and this number is gradually decreasing, which is typical for this time of day. There is no doubt that the wards of Sven Vincke set new records.
It’s also worth noting that Baldur’s Gate 3 has successfully passed Steam Deck verification, as confirmed by Larian on social media. The game is fully adapted for Valve’s portable computer, including interfaces and fonts optimized for a seven-inch screen. In addition, the developers have created a special graphics settings preset to provide the most comfortable gaming experience on a portable device.
Previously, Baldur’s Gate 3 was also available to launch on Steam Deck, but was not officially supported. Because of this, some players experienced minor technical issues such as lag and crashes. In addition, some of the texts were hard to read and the controls needed some work.
Recently, the first hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3 was released, in which about 150 bugs were fixed, including disabling the display of the game assembly during dialogues. The developers will continue to release patches to make the gameplay even more enjoyable.
