Baldur’s Gate 3 is a fairly large role-playing game. Players often find something new and it looks like the research process will last for many years
One of the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3 believes that players will spend years looking for something new. The point is in the particular construction of the project.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a very varied game: Larian took into account many aspects, including those that are not always obvious, which leads to surprising situations. There are very, very many combinations.
Players’ walkthroughs may differ greatly in the smallest details: it will take years to find everything.
Narrative designer Lawrence Schick said:
«It will take many years to turn over every stone, because most of the game is a collection of unlikely [событий]. There are things that [игроки] will be discovered, including us [самих разработчиков]because of the way it was built, with synergies, layers and reactivity [реакцией мира на действия]. We wonder what’s happening».
Early access worked well for Baldur’s Gate 3: providing access to hundreds of thousands of players is more efficient than hiring a lot of testers. Larian was able to improve the game using the feedback they received.
