In the last stage of RallyXNordic in Sweden, on the Arvika track, the only Latvian representative Ronalds Baldiņš finished the race in the semifinals. Winning fourth place in this race, Ronald did not qualify for the final.
Although the Latvian driver’s expectations for the overall medals were only theoretical, Baldiņš did what he started by participating in the last of the seven RallyX Nordic stages.
In the very stretched Swedish race, where the first qualifying race started on Friday but ended in Sunday, Ronalds finished sixth in four qualifying races. The best result in the preliminaries was the third place in the third qualification. The result of the qualification gave a place in the semifinals, where the fourth position was reached, but in the overall evaluation of the stage Baldiņš took the seventh place. Consequently, the Valmiera resident did not qualify for the final. In general, the result is enough to close the season, tentatively, in the fourth place.
The second Latvian driver Reinis Nitišs, who participated in the previous stages of RallyX Nordic, did not start in the last race, but was on the start in the last stage of the NEZ Baltic Championship in Vilkiči. Having won the second place in Lithuania, Nitišs won the overall standings of the series.
