Several characters in the story return to the balcony several times to share what weighs on their hearts.
Each passerby’s story is unique, but all of them together form a self-portrait of a modern person and mark his place in this world. “Balcony Movie” shows the real Warsaw from the stories of the people themselves.
The documentary saw the light of day in 2021, it was made in two years – Lozinskis started filming even before the pandemic, but finished right during Covid-19. Often the short conversations gave people much-needed joy, gave them an opportunity to escape for a moment from the loneliness brought by the pandemic and isolation.
People of different ages were approached from the balcony, approximately 2,000 people were interviewed during the 165 days of filming, not all stories made it into the documentary.
“Balcony Movie” nominated for several prestigious film awards and has won several European film festivals in the documentary category.
