Balance reminders: no payment by December (Raymond Ndong Sima) – AGP

Libreville, November 12, 2023 (AGP) – The Prime Minister of the transition, Raymond Ndong Sima, indicated, this Sunday, November 12, in an interview given to the national channel as part of his program “Les Grands dossiers”, that there will be no payment of balance reminders by December 2023.

“I believe that people have created a stir with the networks on balance payments. But it’s just Fake news. I am sorry,” he declared, explaining that the calculation of balance reminders responds to an entire administrative process.

“In 2012-2013, it took me a year to regularize the administrative acts. When you have someone’s file, you must first look at the evolution of the file, make administrative corrections, establish the corresponding administrative act, collect the signatures of the people involved, and make the financial calculations and find the money to pay. How do you want to do this in 60 days? We will not pay anyone on December 31, 2023, because materially, it is not possible,” he said.

For the moment, the payroll services are talking about a reminder payment awaiting the thaw, to the tune of 104 billion CFA francs, for agents whose calculation was carried out before the freezing of administrative situations.

The government says it is working on lifting the order freezing administrative situations, which will therefore allow more than one person to see their situation evolve. However, agents can approximate the balance for the calculation of their balance reminders.

“Everything that needs to be done will be taken into account in the 2024 finance law”, underlined the General Directorate of Sale, during the said broadcast.
