Muriel received an empty pass from midfielder Remo Freuler, who stole the ball after a failure of the Dutch defense and gave a vertical pass to the Colombian forward that left him alone before the goalkeeper. Muriel held on, took André Onana down the left and gave the final thrust to the match sending the ball to the back of the net. Muriel scores her second goal in this edition of the Champions League, in five games played.

With this result, the Italian team secured themselves in the round of 16 of the championship. Atalanta, with his three Colombians, advanced as second in group D, behind Liverpool. Zapata, having a good game yesterday, did not score, but he is still the team’s attacking benchmark for the round of 16. And the side Johan Mojica did not have minutes of play.
Also outstanding in the day was the midfielder Matheus Uribe, another man of the Colombian National Team, who scored the second goal for Porto, in the away victory against Olympiacos of Greece (0-2). Uribe scored in minute 77, through a pass from his teammate Luis Díaz, who made a great individual move and touched the ball behind for Uribe to take a violent shot. Both were substitutes because their team was already classified, and they entered the complementary part to be protagonists.

The hot streak of the Colombian players began on Tuesday with the great performance of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, who had another great assist in Juventus’ victory against Barcelona, 0-3, at the Camp Nou.
Cuadrado, who provided the assist on Mckennie’s second goal, remains the best Colombian player of the season. He had made two more assists over the weekend in the win against Torino.
“Three golden points against a great rival, and as always glory and honor the King of Kings,” Cuadrado wrote on his social networks after Tuesday’s game in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals.
