Balance Chelsea 0-0, Tottenham Hotspur Top of the Premier League Standings: Okezone Ball

LONDON – There were no goals scored during the 90 minutes of match week 10 Premier League 2020-2021 Among Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge Stadium, Monday (30/11/2020) in the morning WIB. Even so, this one point succeeded in bringing White Lili to the top of the standings.

The course of the match

First round

Acting as the host to make Chelsea appear to attack from the start of the match. Hakim Ziyech threatened in the second minute with a long-range shot. Luckily, Hugo Lloris was still able to secure that opportunity. Timo Werner scored in the 11th minute but it was already ahead offside.

The new Spurs can develop the game after the disallowed goal. Serge Aurier tried his luck in the 15th minute. However, the opportunity was also cleared by Edouard Mendy. Chelsea turns to threaten on 29 minutes through Mason Mount’s long distance shot, but it still goes up.

Chelsea got another chance in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, Tammy Abraham’s effort was wide of the target. No goals were created until the referee Paul Tierney blew the long whistle to mark the break of the first half. Score remains 0-0 for both teams.

This result is a bit regrettable because the hosts were able to appear dominant. Throughout 45 minutes, Chelsea recorded possession of the ball up to 60%. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur chose to play passively to line up the defense.

Although not dominant, Spurs could compensate for the number of Chelsea trials. The two teams have both recorded five shots with one of them aimed at the goal. Not surprisingly, the game was more about in the middle in the early half.

Second round

The second half begins with Chelsea’s aggressive attacks. Reece James’ cross from the right in the 48th minute met Tammy Abraham’s head. Unfortunately, the ball was not able to head well into the goal and only went wide.

There were no significant opportunities for the two teams until entering the final 10 minutes of the match. Mason Mount’s long-range shot forced Hugo Lloris to work hard to save the net. In injury time it was Olivier Giroud’s turn to fail to take advantage of Joe Rodon’s mistake because his shot was too weak.

Zero goals still lasted until the end. The two teams have to settle for sharing one point. For Tottenham Hotspur, that point took them to the top of the standings, shifting Liverpool. Although both collect 21 points, Jose Mourinho’s men are superior on goal difference.
