Bakhtiar Ahmad Sibarani Responds to Viral Video of Man Insulting Anies Baswedan: AMIN National Team’s Stance

Jakarta

AMIN National Team spokesperson Bakhtiar Ahmad Sibarani responded to the viral video of a man insulting Anies Baswedan. He said his party did not mind such insults.

“From the top (superior) it’s not good, the ones below will also not be good. So we’ll just relax. We’re just focused on how to convey to our winning team, don’t repay evil for evil, we don’t need to be like that,” said Bakhtiar in a written statement, Sunday (14/1/2024).

It is known that circulating on TikTok social media shows a man allegedly insulting presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan. In the video seen by detikcom, Sunday (14/1), a man wearing a black shirt and black cap can be seen pointing at a photo of Anies’ face while saying harsh words.

There were two photos of Anies that the man was pointing at while throwing harsh words. The man was seen smiling after throwing insulting words.

Bakhtiar continued that his party is now focused on winning Anies-Muhaimin. He said this victory was achieved to bring about change.

“We are only working to convince the people that if Indonesia needs change, Anies will move with the people for change,” he said.

Bakhtiar also said that this was not the first time this had happened. He also mentioned the matter of a man who was arrested after threatening to shoot Anies some time ago.

“Yesterday there was also someone who threatened to shoot, he was arrested. But we saw that Mr. Anies was polite, with his patience, he was still able to smile when he saw the case,” said Bakhtiar.

“That’s Mr. Anies’ strength, patience, calm. If the others (threatened) might have gone berserk, don’t just threaten him with anger. If Mr. Anies is patient,” he concluded.
