A few kilometers away, the same astonishment in Canohès. In this parking lot, no car was spared. “It was a curtain of hailstones,” testifies one of the residents. Several hours after the flood, there are still clearly visible hailstones, ice in the streets and water in the buildings, like in this party hall renovated last year. “We actually have the ceiling which has come loose, and which has caused quite a bit of damage,” explains the head of the city’s technical services.
