Bajen’s 17-year-old about the successful debut: “It was goosebumps”

Hammarby defeated Brage 4-1 in the Swedish Cup and what most people talked about afterwards was a 17-year-old who jumped in for the last 15 minutes.

Then it was 1-0. And on his brief appearance, Montader Madjed scored a goal and an assist.

– It feels fantastic. It was great to score straight away, especially in front of all the fans. It was goosebumps, he says.

How do you see the assist for Jusef Erabi’s goal?

– I saw that Jusef was free and felt that the centre-back might read the pass, so I made a nice pass and got into the lane, and it worked.

Are you getting close to a launch site?

– It’s not in my hands. It is the coach who decides. I just try to do my best in every game and in every practice. Now I felt that things were going well for me and also for the team. It was an amazing feeling for me. But what happens to the next game, that’s up to others.

– It will take time. Either I start or I don’t start. You just have to do your best in the minutes you get.

After the match, Nahir Besara said that Montader Madjed will not last long in Sweden.
