President López Obrador assured that Baja California will be the first to fully complete the immunization of its older population.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) reported that this Thursday begins the vaccination of people over 18 years of age in six municipalities of Baja California and assured that this state will be the first to fully complete the immunization of its older population.
“We hope to finish in ten days. It will be the first state in which we will complete vaccination 100% using the vaccines that they donated us from the United States Government, one million 350,000 doses ”, highlighted the president.

Additionally, AMLO announced the special operation implemented by the arrival of said donation from the United States of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine single dose.

On the subject, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, head of the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), detailed that an agreement was carried out between federal and local authorities to determine logistics in all 16 macro vaccination centers in the entity.
He pointed out that, due to the high temperatures registered in the region the centers will operate under three modalities: pedestrian, vehicular and mixed. Depending on this factor, the hours will also vary, since they will be attended from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It should be noted that only three centers will receive people from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. due to the climate in the region.
He said that to achieve the goal of total vaccination in 10 days you need get between 126,000 and 162,000 vaccinations a day with an average of 140,000 to finish in that period.
López Obrador specified that after immunizing the 18- to 40-year-old population of Baja California The brigades will be deployed with the inhabitants of Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

“The application of the first doses in the age range of 40 to 49 years in the case of Baja California Sur and Quintana Roo has already been concluded.
