La Paz.- At the beginning of this week, in Baja California Sur increased to just over 100 thousand the number of students who returned to face-to-face classeswhich represents 97 percent of the schools at the basic level in the entity.
As confirmed by the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP)that number has been counted in the 905 initial, preschool, primary and secondary schools that are operating in the five municipalities of the state.

This number would be the maximum reached since education was considered an essential activity and in the period of the face-to-face model, according to the records of the General Directorate of Basic Education.
The agency indicated that the return to classes has been monitored in the state schools where the mandatory protocol of the use of face masks, antibacterial gel is maintained and sanitary filters have been arranged at the entrances.
private universities and Autonomous University of Baja California Surseparately, reported that for two weeks face-to-face activity has also increased in the different venues, and a hybrid system is maintained to support the gradual and safe return of all students at the higher level.

The State Health Safety Committee keeps the entity at a green traffic light due to the sustained reduction in Covid-19 infections.
At the beginning of this week, according to epidemiological monitoring, there is a record of 474 active cases and only 21 hospitalized patients.
