Tijuana, BC- Today at the Tijuana High Performance Center, Baja California Institute of Sport and Physical Culture Director General Lourdes Cañez Martínez invited the entire athletic community of the border city to participate in the 56th Baja California Marathon.
It will be December 11 when another edition of the oldest marathon in all of Mexico will be held in Mexicali, which this year has many new features, explained Alejandra Curiel, who is also the general coordinator of the event.
A cycling tour and a five-kilometre run will be included in the pedestrian circuit, to make all the athletes of the pedestrian community participate in this great sports festival.
Registration is free in both cases and gives away 250 t-shirts for the first cyclists and for the five kilometers that cross the finish line.
As regards the maximum race of 42,195 kilometres, the registration fee is 200 pesos with right to jersey and medal at the finish line.
In addition, more than 800,000 pesos in prizes will be awarded among the overall winners, by category, and the maximum lottery prize for those who finish the marathon, which is 200,000 pesos.
