Baitas: The eligibility criteria for direct social assistance and AMO Tadamon have not been subject to any revision

The resumption of dialogue between the government and the trade union centers demonstrates, once again, the participatory approach adopted with the social partners to address the various issues, specified Mr. Baitas in response to a question on social dialogue, during a press briefing following the meeting of the Governing Council.

The new round of social dialogue launched on Tuesday will continue until Friday with two new meetings, indicated the minister, emphasizing, in this sense, the serious commitment of the government in this project that it has undertaken. to institutionalize. In response to a question concerning social assistance and social coverage indicators, the minister noted that the eligibility criteria for direct social assistance and Compulsory Health Insurance (AMO) Tadamon have not been implemented. subject to no revision.

He explained that AMO Tadamon is a social system whose threshold, procedures and modalities are set by the legislator and the government, adding that direct social assistance is an integrated system from a legal point of view and whose procedures and modalities are also set by the government through decrees.

The minister also noted that the government covers the membership fees of AMO Tadamon beneficiaries to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) to allow them to benefit free of charge from health services in the public and private sectors, like all civil servants and unpaid workers.

Families benefiting from direct social assistance receive monthly allowances in accordance with the system and the decree establishing the terms of accessibility to this assistance, said Mr. Baitas, noting that this process is taking place in very good conditions.
