Victims of fake giveaways on behalf of Baim Wong keep happening. This time a number of people claimed to be victims.
Baim Wong finally reported this case. He also accompanied the victims to Polda Metro Jaya.
“It’s been a long time since 2018 the police have caught up, but after that there have been many more. I myself am actually confused about what to do, but over time there have been many complaints against me, which in the end are actually Singaporean foreigners (losses) Rp. 140 million, so until now there has been no follow-up,” said Baim Wong at Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday (17/1/2023).
According to Baim Wong, there are quite a lot of victims from this bogus giveaway. In total, he said, there might be more than 100 people.
The perpetrator is believed to have several cell phone numbers. Baim Wong included the cellphone number in his report to the police.
“After that, many people reported, DM me. After that I called here, there were 100 more with the available evidence,” said Baim Wong.
Apart from his name being used up, Baim Wong admits that he has not experienced any material loss. However, he feels the need to help the victims, the majority of whom are people with a weak economy.
“It just turns out that many small people have been deceived by Rp. 31 million, Rp. 23 million. It turns out that the job of a seblak handyman whose daily income is Rp. 150,000, has not been able to replace it for several years,” he explained.
“Well, now what I didn’t want to have to do with it anymore, time too, I just saw them also like people really hoping that these people would be taken care of,” he added.
