The Chinese company BAIC announced that it has started accepting orders for a new modification of the BJ40 SUV frame, equipped with a diesel engine and with some differences in appearance
Diesel LOCK BJ40 received a black radiator grille, bumper and rims, red brake calipers, and matte body paint. Available in four colors: black, white, red and green.
Engine: 2 liter turbodiesel with 162 hp. and a torque of 380 Nm. It is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission made by ZF.
The car’s wheel drive is activated according to the system part time (forced front axle), with reduction gear and four enhanced driving modes: comfort, sport, snow, eco. The company confirmed that the diesel version of the BAIC BJ40 received solid rear and front cross-axle locking differentials, which make it possible to solve more complex off-road tasks.
The new product is offered in one Exclusive package. Price – 4,400,000 rubles. The price for BJ40 with a gasoline engine starts at 4,350,000 rubles. Perhaps, to ensure an attractive price for the diesel version of the SUV, it was decided to provide some options. Therefore, the package does not include a light sensor, a heated steering wheel, an additional decorative wheel cover, a water sensor, a subwoofer, and the number of audio speakers is one less – six.
