Baht Weakens to 35.70 Level before Adjusting Back: Latest Update from Kasikorn Research Center

January 23, Ms. Kanchana Chokpaisansin Research executive Kasikorn Research Center revealed that the baht weakened to test the 35.70 level before adjusting back to a level of approximately 35.63-35.65 baht per dollar. This morning (9.18 a.m.) compared to yesterday’s market closing level of 35.61 baht per dollar.

The baht moved to depreciate. This is in line with the direction of other currencies in Asia and the yen before the results of the Bank of Japan’s (BOJ) monetary policy meeting, where the market expected that the BOJ would maintain monetary policy as before.
