Bahrain-Israel Peace: Happy Egypt, Turkey and Iran Anger Page all

KAIRO, KOMPAS.com- President Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi considers the normalization agreement diplomatic relations Among Israel and Bahrain as a step forward towards peace in the region.

This was disclosed on Friday (11/09/2020) as quoted from Anadolu Agency, Saturday (12/9/2020).

“I appreciate this important step towards building stability and peace in the Middle East, and in a way that achieves a just and permanent solution to the Palestinian cause,” al-Sisi wrote on his Twitter account.

He also thanked the parties involved in the implementation of the measure.

President United States of America ( AS) Donald Trump announced the agreement to normalize diplomatic relations between Israel and Bahrain in the commemoration moment of September 11, 2001 or 9/11.

The two countries will reportedly sign the agreement at a ceremony that will take place at the White House on September 15 AFP.

Bahrain became the second country in the Arabian Gulf region to forge diplomatic relations with Israel after the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Turkey strongly condemns Bahrain’s decision to establish diplomatic relations with Israel.

Reporting from ReutersThe Turkish Foreign Ministry added that the agreement would deal a new blow to efforts to defend the Palestinian cause.

“This will further encourage Israel to continue its illegal practices against Palestine and its efforts to make the occupation of Palestinian land permanent,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry wrote in a statement.

Other than that, Iran also stated that Bahrain’s move to make peace with Israel means it will engage in the country’s policies that threaten regional security.

“Bahrain’s shameful move sacrificed the Palestinian struggle and decades of struggle … for the sake of US elections,” Iranian TV quoted the Iranian Foreign Ministry as saying.
