Tim Scuderia Ferrari look promising during qualifying Formula 1 (F1) GP Bahrain 2022. Charles Leclerc fastest, meanwhile Carlos Sainz is in third place.
Leclerc is confirmed to start from pole position in the F1 2022 series opener at the Bahrain Grand Prix, Sunday (20/3/2022). He became the fastest in the qualifying session which was held at the Bahrain International Circuit, Saturday (19/3) night WIB.
The Monaco racer recorded a time of 1 minute 558 seconds. Leclerc 0.123 seconds faster than the reigning champion Max Verstappen who is ranked second in the Bahrain GP qualifying. This Red Bull Racing mainstay carved a time of 1 minute 30.681 seconds.
Leclerc’s slick appearance was followed by his team-mate Carlos Sainz. Sainz was ranked third after making a time of 1 minute 30.687 seconds.
Sergio Perez who defended Red Bull Racing was fourth. Owner of seven F1 titles Lewis Hamilton will start the race in fifth place at the 2022 Bahrain GP with Mercedes AMG Petronas.
Hamilton’s former teammate at Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas finished sixth. Bottas this season will be racing with the Alfa Romeo team.
The drivers in the top 10 of the Bahrain 2022 GP Qualification in a row were completed by Kevin Magnussen (Urakali Haas) in seventh position. Then, there are Fernando Alonso (BWT Alpine), George Russel, (Mercedes AMG Petronas) and Pierre Gasly (Scuderia AlphaTauri) in 8th, 9th and 10th place.
