2nd phase of construction: from Monday 19 September (5:00) to Thursday 13 October (21:00). Trains on the RE 42 line will be diverted between Rheinhausen and Krefeld Hbf and there will be no stops in Krefeld-Uerdingen. As a replacement, buses will run between Krefeld-Uerdingen and Krefeld Hbf, while trains of lines RB 33 and RB 35 will be diverted between Rheinhausen and Krefeld-Oppum. Stops in Krefeld Hohenbudberg-Chempark, Krefeld-Uerdingen and Krefeld-Linn are omitted. Buses are used as substitutes for railway replacement services. Note: On Sunday 25 September the trains of the RB 33 line between Essen Hbf / Duisburg Hbf and Krefeld Hbf will be canceled. As a replacement, buses run between Duisburg Hbf and Krefeld Hbf and the RE 42 trains between Krefeld Hbf and Rheinhausen are canceled. Instead, buses connect Krefeld Hbf and Rheinhausen.

3rd construction phase: From Thursday 13 October (21:00) to Friday 14 October (21:00). Trains of lines RB 33 and RB 35 are canceled between Krefeld Hohenbudberg-Chempark and Krefeld-Linn. As a replacement, buses will run between Krefeld Hohenbudberg-Chempark and Krefeld-Linn / Krefeld Hbf, while RE 42 trains will be diverted between Duisburg Hbf and Mönchengladbach Hbf. Stops in Rheinhausen, Krefeld-Uerdingen, Krefeld Hbf and Viersen are omitted. Passengers are requested to alternatively use lines RB 33 and RB 35. Timetable changes are included in Deutsche Bahn’s online information systems and at zuginfo.nrw and are announced on platform notices. They are also available at bauinfos.deutschebahn.com/nrw, zuginfo.nrw and via the “DB Bauarbeiten” app. “Unfortunately, despite the use of the most modern equipment, the noise of the works cannot be avoided.
