Sobering numbers in the 2023 budget
The slump in trade tax is forcing the municipality of Bahlingen to make repayments and losses in the millions. Despite the loan requirement of almost seven million euros in the 2023 budget, the administration is sticking to ongoing projects.
“Sobering numbers, the budget has never been so deficity,” said Albert Mießmer (FAB) after the presentation of the 2023 budget draft by Mayor Harald Lotis. According to Mießmer, the budget leaves no room for wishes. Wilfried Adler (CDU) tried to get something positive out of the numbers: “We are still able to act despite dramatic developments. We have to keep thinking positively.”
