Bahlil reveals that Cireng salespeople are more tempting than civil servants’ salaries

Jakarta

Minister of Investment / Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia encouraged the public to explore the business world. According to him, entrepreneurs have better prospects than becoming Civil Servants (PNS).

Initially, Bahlil had a conversation with Kemal, one of the business actors in the event for the Giving of Business Identification Numbers (NIB) for Individual Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) which was held in Medan, North Sumatra.

“Call other friends who haven’t started a business yet. Instead of finishing studying at USU, bring your diploma back home, wait for the announcement of the opening of civil servants, then register,” said Bahlil, Thursday (21/7/2022).

Although registering for civil servants is good, according to him, being an entrepreneur has a better chance. Moreover, entrepreneurs can create jobs for the community.

Bahlil continued his dialogue with representatives of other MSMEs who sell Bandung culinary delights such as seblak, cireng and baso aci. This business can generate a turnover of up to Rp. 20 million per month.

“Okay, turnover is Rp. 20 million, profit is Rp. 8 million per month. How much is the salary of class 3 civil servants?,” asked Bahlil to the participants of the event.

The former chairman of HIPMI said that the salary of class 3 civil servants was around Rp. 3.4 million. This amount is far less than the turnover of being an entrepreneur.

In fact, according to him, the administrative process of applying for civil servants requires no small amount of money. Therefore, he encourages people to consider becoming entrepreneurs.
